About us

Who we are

An effective, long lasting alternative to foster care

Our mission is to provide a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where all children can thrive and reach their full potential.

With our compassionate, highly qualified and dedicated team, we offer an alternative to foster care for sibling groups, providing a family-style therapeutic children's home that keeps children together.

Our approach is rooted in compassion, expertise, and a deep understanding of trauma-informed care. We believe that every child deserves a chance to heal, grow, and build a bright future.

Through our network of small, family-style homes across the south-east located in residential neighborhoods, we ensure that each child receives individualized attention, psychological support, academic guidance, and enriching activities.

Together, we can change children’s social care.

Our culture and values

Our approach is rooted in compassion, expertise, and a deep understanding of trauma-informed care

We believe that children thrive in a stable and nurturing environment, which is why we embrace a family-modelled care model.

By providing a home-like atmosphere and stable relationships, we help children heal from past traumas, develop healthy relationships, and build a positive future.

Our team of dedicated professionals, including therapeutic practitioners, ensures that every child receives individualized care and support.

We prioritise collaboration and cooperation with different sectors and agencies, including education, and health, to provide coordinated and comprehensive care.

By working together, we can maximize the potential for positive outcomes and empower children to overcome challenges.

At Hygge, we recognize that each child is unique, and we prioritize their voice and involvement in their own care. We encourage children to express their feelings, make choices, and be active participants in their healing journey. By nurturing their self-confidence, self-esteem, and aspirations, we help children break the cycle of intergenerational care and build a brighter future.

Equality, diversity and inclusion policy

At Hygge Children's Homes, we are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment that respects the dignity and rights of all individuals. We embrace diversity and strive to ensure that everyone, regardless of their protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010, is treated with fairness, respect, and equity.

We ensure that all individuals are treated fairly and with dignity, regardless of their protected characteristics. Our policies, procedures, and practices are designed to prevent discrimination and promote equal opportunities for all.
