About us
Who we are
At Housing Matters (Bristol), we offer advice, support, and advocacy for people who need help with their housing. We believe that housing is a human right, and we have been enacting this through our high-quality advice service and community partnership projects since 1965.
We provide confidential and specialist advice on complex housing issues, but just as important is our welcoming and supportive approach. We work with clients for as long as it takes to get their housing issues resolved, and to help to provide a solution to every client’s housing crisis.
We are a small yet dynamic organisation and have recently gone through a period of sustainable growth to meet increasing demand for services. We aim to achieve a lot with our limited resources, in order to contribute to preventing homelessness wherever possible in our city.

Our Vision
Housing Matters (Bristol) has a vision of society where all members of the community have a place they can call home. We believe that everyone has a right to a decent home, based on the values of the equality and dignity of each human being. We believe that housing is central to the development of individuals, communities and society as a whole. We are therefore striving to ensure that everyone has a place to live, with a particular focus on those in the greatest need.
