Hospice of the Valleys

Who we are

The Hospice provides 24-hour care, primarily within the home and now employs 50 staff and over 170 volunteers and with 5 Hospice shops across the borough. The Hospice is overseen by our board of 8 volunteer Trustees.

We care for patients with a wide array of life-limiting conditions, some 33% of whom have a non-cancer diagnosis.

The Hospice is also proud to have been commissioned by the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board for many years as the specialist palliative care provider in Blaenau Gwent.  Working in partnership with the Health Board, we ensure patients receive seamless continuity of care across Blaenau Gwent.
