Who we are

Home-Start Richmond, Kingston and Hounslow supports families with children under 5 and mothers in the third trimester of pregnancy across the three boroughs. Our core service sees families carefully matched with a trained volunteer who provides support through weekly home visits of 2-3 hours over a period of 3-9 months. Our experienced volunteers walk alongside families, offering practical and emotional support, sharing their own parenting experiences, supporting and empowering parents to access other activities and services within their local community. This non-judgemental, compassionate and confidential support is tailored to the individual needs of each family, helping parents to build confidence and resilience. And we offer a range of other support, from small Family Group stay and play sessions, a wide range of holiday activities and events, to tailored signposting to help parents and carers back into work or education.

Being a parent is never easy. Without support, families can feel overwhelmed or isolated. Our fantastic team of committed and enthusiastic staff - many of whom have worked with us for over 10 years - and our amazing volunteers, give parents and carers the support they need so that their children can thrive.
