Who we are

Home-Start is a national voluntary organisation that trains and supports volunteers to offer regular support, friendship and practical help to young families with a child under five, in their own homes. Home-Start Haringey is primarily a home visiting scheme that aims to work in partnership with the families providing encouragement and help in times of difficulties. We provide friendship and practical help to families in Haringey experiencing difficulties, helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown. Our work is done with local volunteers who receive a 10 week accredited training prior to supporting families, encouraging families strengths and emotional wellbeing. We are committed to a policy of equal opportunity, which respects the identity, rights and value of each individual.
