About us

Who we are

Hidden Treasure Trust CIO is a Christian charitable organisation based in South Manchester, UK. Our mission is to bring life-transforming hope and joy to families and vulnerable people through education, relationships and resources.

By creating unique community hubs in areas of high deprivation, we bring together partners to create a thriving open-access, barrier and stigma-free community for learning, playing, building relationships, and accessing all the support needed under one roof.

Our first hub is based in Partington, Trafford. It operates as a large educational family play centre, cafe, base for our family support team, and community training facility called The Hideaway. In addition, our Hope Centre Partington serves our community with practical support such as food, clothing and advice.

Our Story:

After many decades of combined experience working with children, young people, and some of the most deprived communities in the UK, our team launched the Hidden Treasure Discovery Centre in 2017 - a not-for-profit organisation with a Christian ethos that would be run for the benefit of our local community. In the short few years we've been operating, our team, remit and impact has grown at a rate we could only dream of. As such, we became a registered charity and launched Hidden Treasure Trust CIO in September 2022.

In 2018, we launched The Hideaway - a massive educational children's play centre and Noah's Ark Cafe. The Hideaway exists for the benefit of our local Partington community as well as the wider borough and region. We work in close partnership with a range of local churches and other organisations to provide the best services, support, and access to genuine relationships possible. Our aim is to play our part in improving lives, helping families grow strong together, and to support the social, physical, emotional and spiritual development of children, youth and adults.

At the start of the coronavirus epidemic in March 2020, our facility began operating as the Hope Centre - acting as a response hub and central point of information and coordination for our community. We provided thousands of food parcels, hot meals, packed lunches, energy support payments, wellbeing calls, and other types of support for the wider community. As a result of this work, we opened a permanent Hope Centre in June 2021, in an empty shop unit at the heart of a local estate. From there, our team provides 1-1 support and advice, an open-access food pantry and vouchers for the local food bank, brand new and second-hand school uniform, and a whole range of additional support for our community.

This is just a small glimpse of the projects we’ve been running and the support we’ve been offering since we first opened in 2018, and we’re so excited to see what God has in store for us next!
