About us
Who we are
The Haven Centre was built as the result of the hard work of a small number of village residents which started in the 1980’s and eventually completed by 1990.
Over the last two decades it has seen many changes but today it thrives with many different users from a variety of local clubs and businesses.
The centre has a large hall with a stage and dressing rooms, 3 meeting rooms and is home to the The Crawley Down Gatwick Football club, offering changing rooms, office and other facilities.
A Trading subsidiary, the Cafe Bar, offers very reasonably priced drinks and snacks, and has a free playroom for visitors and a private room for small events/dinners.
Typical community offerings at the Centre are Yoga, Dance, Pilates, Knit & Natter, and a toddlers group. The Main Hall is also hired for private parties, it is also used by the local theatre group and many of the community clubs use the meeting rooms as well.
The CDCCA CIO Management Committee has overall responsibility for the management of The Haven Centre and employs 1 Full time Centre Manager and 1 part time administrator to manage the day to day business of the Centre.
In addition, there is also CDCCA Trading Ltd which has a separate committee and is responsible for the running of the Haven Café and Bar and employs both full time and casual staff to run the Bar and Café on a day to day basis.
