Guildford Sea Cadets

Who we are

Guildford is one of the 400 Sea Cadet Units which are situated throughout the UK and som overseas.  Our vision is to be a youth organisation of choice for local young people and their parents.  We aim to to promote the development of young people in achieving their physical, intellectual and social potential as individuals and as responsible citizens by the provision of education and leisure time activities using a nautical theme and in accordance with the principles, ethos and practices of the Royal Navy.

To provide these opportunities for our young people we rely on volunteers.  Some of our volunteers, oue instructors, work directly with our cadets, supporting their developmant by providing developmental activites and guidance, bith on and off the water.  Our trustees are responsible for providing the infrastructure and resources which support those activities. This is no mean task as, like all Sea Cadet Units, we are a small, independent charity responsible for all our fund raising.  All our volunteers work as a team to deliver our objectives.
