Who we are

Good Lad Initiative is a UK based social enterprise that works with men and boys to tackle gender inequality. We do this by running fun, engaging and challenging workshops in schools, universities and workplaces.

OUR MISSION

Promoting positive, equal gender relationships

Transforming the behaviours, attitudes and skills of men and boys,

Motivating them to become agents of positive change within their communities.

We do this by…

Delivering evidence-based, pragmatic, relatable interventions,

Reaching men and boys not typically engaged in conversations about gender,

Working with groups and individuals of all genders & backgrounds.

OUR VALUES

• Feminist -  We actively question and seek to overcome, sexism, homophobia, racism or any form of discriminatory behaviour

• Accountable - Women's rights and Feminist movements have been working on these issues for a long time, and we strive to honour their work and be accountable to them in everything we do

• Non- Judgemental - We provide a non-judgmental space where men & boys can critically analyse what it means to “be a man”

• Positive - We take a positive approach. We don’t  lecture men and boys or treat them as potential perpetrators. Instead, we’re interactive, fun, engaging, and discursive - recognising we can’t  solve the problem in one go, but we can sow seeds of change.
