About us
Who we are
Good Food Oxfordshire (GFO) is a cross-sector network of organisations working together for healthier, fairer and more sustainable food for Oxfordshire. It is, in turn, part of a national network of more than 50 Sustainable Food Cities.
GFO supports initiatives that increase the beneficial outcomes from our food system – as set out in the Oxford Good Food Charter.
GFO’s objectives are organised within the work areas of:
1) Good Food Businesses – building Oxford’s sustainable food economy
2) Good Food For All – ensuring everyone is able to eat well every day
3) Changing Our Ways – driving behaviours for healthy and sustainable food use
The task of GFO is to identify and catalyse the most effective actions within the network, develop and support projects, devise and collaboratively implement an Oxford Food Strategy, and ensure the future sustainability of food in Oxford.
GFO takes a “Collective Impact” approach, operating along the lines of a “backbone organisation”.
