About us
Who we are
Global Action Plan is a climate charity that mobilises people and organisations to act on the systems that harm us and our planet. We have a team of 35 people spread across the UK, both working remotely and together in our office near London Bridge.
Founded in 1993, our vision is to create a green and thriving planet where everyone can enjoy happy and healthy lives within the earth’s limits. We tackle the root causes of our climate and nature crises through grass-roots research, collective action and advocacy. Our current focus areas are:
- Our energy and transport systems – through the lens of air pollution
- Our online ecosystem
- Our education system
Our culture and values
Global Action Plan enjoys a fun and mission-driven culture. We deal with serious issues but take a positive and compassionate approach to creating change. We are not afraid of taking on the thorny issues and the nuances, recognising the importance of listening and sharing but also ultimately of acting on these insights and getting things done. Every fraction of a degree less planetary warming will save lives and habitats; every second and decision counts.
Our values:
- We are driven by compassion
- We challenge the norm
- We listen and share openly
- We get stuff done
