About us

Who we are

We are an independent specialist college, committed to putting young people with complex learning and communication difficulties at the centre of everything we do. We aim to provide a holistic, person-centred service that prioritises the wellbeing and personal progress of every learner. We pride ourselves on being able to challenge norms, think outside the box, and develop a creative response to need. We believe that every learner can achieve their personal outcomes and develop new skills.

At Future Horizons Leeds we provide high quality education and care support for young people with complex learning needs.

We provide specialist education programmes for those who are continuing on their learning journey and have an EHCP in place. These college courses are offered for three years.

For those who have completed their education, there is still a lot of learning to do and that comes through teaching life skills, forming friendship groups and engaging in lots of social interaction. Placements into our adult social care provision are needs led.

We are proud to provide a service that supports our young people to become the best they can be and develop new knowledge, skills and attitudes in a way which is meaningful and wholly personalised to them as individuals.
