About us
Who we are
Faversham Pools is a registered charity and plays a crucial part in the life of the town. Nearly a quarter of a million swimmers visit every year, making the Pools Faversham’s most visited attraction. As well as supporting a very active swimming club, the Pools are used by dozens of schools in the local area.
The iconic open-air pool opened in 1964, following an impressive public fundraising campaign. The vast majority of the funds were raised by local people, supported by the local council and companies. 29 years later, Swale Borough Council generously supported the creation of the indoor pool, in 1993.
Faversham’s multi-pool complex in the heart of the town centre. We’re a registered charity, bringing affordable exercise facilities to the local community.
