Who we are

We’re a lively Christian outdoor activity charity, founded in 1967 with the aim of using the outdoors and adventure to challenge and develop young people in a supportive caring environment.
Over the past 52 years the organisation has grown and now owns a 150 acre salt marsh site on the waterfront in Tollesbury, a boat yard with 120 customers, four historic sail lofts and Trinity, a converted lightship that is our residential centre. 

Over 3,000 people engage with FACT every year. We provide an environment where people can experience real adventure, undergo real learning and develop a real faith while being part of an inclusive Christian community that makes a difference to all who experience it. We want this to be our customer and volunteer experience.
