About us
Who we are
ESTEEM was established in 1997 and since those early beginnings has made steady progress in expanding activities, both in terms of numbers of young people accessing services and also in terms of the range of support, opportunities and partnerships created.
ESTEEM currently stands in the strongest financial and organisational position it has ever been. Funding from the Big Lottery has enabled most activity to be supported and successful from October 2018 and that funding package is in place until 2022. Funding from Henry Smith for the key role of Chief Officer was achieved in June 2019 and will be in place until 2022.
Other support from commercial partners and funders is enabling add-on services to be provided, or for existing services to be expanded. Unsurprisingly, the core values of ESTEEM have remained in place since its inception as these are our drivers and touchstone. We review ESTEEM’s strategy and Theory of Change annually to ensure we meet those expectations.
