Who we are
Environment Kirklees Ltd is a volunteer-led not for profit company that delivers environmental projects in Huddersfield and the Colne Valley in partnership with local employers, community organisations and the university.
Its Greenstreams programme promotes biodiversity, improved access and cleaner waterways. Greenstreams volunteers have recently constructed or upgraded new sections of the riverside path along the Colne in Huddersfield.
The organisations also has established other activities including new waste minimisation and recycling projects. It has recently organised a successful conference to launch a waste and resources network and as a result it is promoting wider involvement of the community and voluntary sector in delivering local waste solutions.
