About us
Who we are
Emmaus Hull & East Riding was initially established as a charitable company in 2007, and after an extended period of fundraising to construct the new, purpose-built facilities, opened as a new Emmaus Community for formerly homeless people in 2016. Since then the Community has become substantially self- financing through three shops selling donated goods, and the provision of Rough Sleeper Outreach Services for both Hull and East Riding Councils.
The Charity is managed by our Director, Mrs Kelly Finnis, who has held this role since the opening of the Community.
Emmaus is an international movement, which was founded in France at the end of the World War ll, and there is a UK Federation of independent Emmaus Charities, of which Emmaus Hull & East Riding is one of 29 members.
