About us

Who we are

Elmbridge Community Link (ECL) is a Surrey based charity which has been enriching the lives of people and young adults with learning difficulties and/or autism for the past 30 years. We are a small but energetic charity supporting a diverse range of needs in our local community – making a genuine difference to people’s sense of wellbeing and quality of life.

We run a range of weekly activities including arts and crafts, board games, music, physical exercise and sport. Through our work we connect people in a fun and engaging way and in turn reduce social isolation and increase the confidence of our beneficiaries.  Importantly, we also offer valuable and appreciated respite to parent carers.

The services we offer are made possible by the incredible team of people who volunteer for ECL, ranging from sixth form students through to the Trustees who sit on our Board and provide the charity’s governance.

Working with people who have learning difficulties and/or autism is rewarding in many different ways and the feedback from our volunteers over the years has been hugely positive.  People who give their time to ECL tell us how it has improved their sense of wellbeing, confidence and is an all round rewarding experience.
