Education Business Partnership

Who we are

The Education Business Partnership (EBP) is a registered charity set up originally in 1993. The EBP operates in West Berkshire and Swindon and in partnership with other EBP’s across Berkshire and the South East. There are 15 member of staff working term time only.  The EBP are fortunate to work in a smart independent suite of offices in central Newbury.

The EBP has an excellent reputation with its stakeholders and in the community for building strong relationships between the business and education sectors.  The purpose of the company is to give young people valuable insights into the work environment, and equally to support employers with their engagement with young people to inspire future career options and influence their skills development.

The key purposes of the EBP are to:

• build and maintain a broad network of contacts with business professionals
• work closely with the local educational institutions to support their objectives of employer engagement, careers insight and work related skills development
• raise income from employers, schools, government funds and trusts
• develop programmes of activities and work placements to inform and inspire young people of future working career opportunities and skills requirements
• raise the profile of skills development in young people
