About us
Who we are
Eastbourne Foodbank is part of the Trussell Trust Network of Foodbanks. For the past two years we have provided 280,000 meals to clients. This makes us the busiest foodbank in the South East per 100,000 population.
We are committed to see a time when foodbanks are no longer required in the UK but until that time we work hard with clients to help them no longer rely on foodbank support.
We have a network of six food distribution points across the town, a team of welfare benefit advisors & debt advisors who assist clients to maximise their income. In total we have 15 paid staff in our team and over 130 volunteers.
Our four values of dignity, justice, compassion and community are central to all we do.
Our culture and values
We are a charity based on Christian principles but welcome applications from anyone with a faith or no faith. Our four values of Dignity, Justice, Compassion and Community are central to all we do.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
We recognize that we have under-represented groups within our workforce. As part of our commitment to diversity and equality of opportunity we are actively encouraging applications from under-represented groups such as returning parents or carers, LGBT+, from black Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, with a disability, impairment, learning difference or long-term condition, and those with lived experience of poverty. We are committed to ensuring the safety and protection of our employees from all forms of harm.
