About us

Who we are

Disability Sports Coach uses the power of sport to enhance the lives of disabled people.

We do this through four key activities:

  1. Community Clubs: 10 award-winning clubs across London bring disabled together to keep active and connected, improving physical and mental health.
  2. Home Activity Programme: Free activity and social sessions online each week give disabled people more options to enjoy socialising and exercising.
  3. On-site coaching: Specialist coaches deliver inclusive activities in schools, colleges, and community groups so disabled people aren't excluded from activities with friends.
  4. Training courses: Sports coaches, teachers, and community groups are upskilled to confidently deliver inclusive activities that bring disabled people together.

Sport helps us achieve three aims:

- Improve disabled peoples' physical, mental and social wellbeing so they feel part of their local community.

- Reduce loneliness and isolation among disabled people, families and carers and increase networks of support.

- Educate activity providers, schools and community groups to adapt activities for disabled people, so nobody feels excluded.

We reach over 5,000 disabled people, families and carers every year.
