Who we are
Devon EMS was founded by Jim Clarke in 2002 and launched as South Devon Event Medical Services in those early days the main function was that of a Motorcoss Medical Service.
It was not until early 2007 following re-organisation that the current name of Devon EMS was adopted which today stands for Devon Essential Medical Services reflecting the diversity of Devon EMS in the services which the organisation will provide:-
Event Medical Cover.
Training service in first aid and related subjects.
Patient Transport Service [PTS].
As a Registered Charity staffed mainly by volunteers and managed by a team of Trustees, Devon EMS has developed a reputation for providing a professional reliable cost effective service and can quite rightly be referred to as "Devon's Alternative Voluntary Service" giving those wishing to use the services of a voluntary service a choice between the major voluntary aid societies and Devon EMS.
