About us
Who we are
Dementia Support Hampshire & IOW provides free emotional support, information, and signposting for anyone and everyone living with dementia in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Be it the person with dementia, their family, friends or caregivers.
We do this by providing the opportunity for people to meet other's living with dementia at our Support & Social Groups, and via a helpline that is available Monday-Friday 8am-6pm.
Our Vision
We want to live in a world where everyone living with dementia receives the person-centred care and support they need to maximise their quality of life. By offering outreach services in the wider community, we aim to eliminate social isolation by offering support to anyone who needs it.
Our Values
Support - A dementia diagnosis can be isolating and overwhelming. Offering an accessible safe space and a support network, we aim to change that.
Dignity - Dementia doesn’t discriminate, and nor do we. In the knowledge it can affect absolutely anyone, we treat everyone living with dementia with the dignity they deserve.
Community - Shared experiences and a community you can count on can make anything that little bit easier. That’s why we’ll always be here for those that need us.
Choice - Here to illuminate all your options, we exist to empower and support whatever choice you make, because no two diagnoses or journeys are ever the same.
