About us
Who we are
Hannahs has been enriching the lives of children and young people for more than 200 years. One of the UK’s oldest charities, Hannahs is dedicated to empowering children, young people and adults with profound physical and learning disabilities, providing them with life-changing opportunities and advocating their needs. We are committed to challenging societal beliefs and cultural acceptances surrounding disabled people with the aim of making disability incidental.
Our mission is simple:
To empower, advocate and enrich the lives of children and adults with disabilities.
Working across two sites in Devon – at Ivybridge, about 11 miles from Plymouth and at Seale-Hayne on the outskirts of Newton Abbot – Hannahs provides learning, care, support and real choice to children and adults with a range of disabilities. A dedicated and highly trained team of staff help our students and visitors, at both sites, grow and learn with confidence and freedom. At Hannahs we provide the best education, care and opportunities on offer, in a homely and caring environment.
