About us
Who we are
Creative Futures offers transformative experinces through the arts for children and young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds. We focus on 3 core areas: Early Years (children aged 0-5), Looked After children and young people, and children with special educational needs and disabilities.
We are guided by the belief that every child, whatever their background, has the right to experience and participate in high-quality arts activity, and to benefit from the enrichment and empowerment that the arts can bring. Not only because of their intrinsic value, and the wish to instill a life-lasting love of the arts, but also because of the added benefits research has shown the arts to provide in areas such as social and emotional development, communication and language skills, executive functions, coordination skills, and numeracy and literacy.
Every project Creative Futures delivers is unique, and devised to nurture creative skills as well as meet the specific needs and priorities of our partner school, community or group. We work with around 70 freelqance artists every year to deliver our programmes, as well as researchers and evaluators to assess their impact.
Our Creative Producers play an essential role in planning, managing, and overseeing our work.
