About us
Who we are
Our building is a historic one which has served this part of Peckham for more than a hundred years as a church and a community centre. Approximately 500 people a week come to Copleston. In a fast-changing local area, we are a hub for the whole community offering a diverse and engaging programme of activities, events and local partnerships. Through this we engage and value the full diversity of our community. We are also home to Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers and ABC Nursery.
We have exciting plans to redesign and revitalise the space – developed after extensive consultation with community members - that will further unlock our potential, transforming the building into a carbon-neutral, multi-purpose, more adaptable and place that better reflects modern Peckham, keeping the old Peckham alive and also enhancing the beauty of its Victorian architecture.
