Who we are

LGBT+ communities are stronger when they are working in collaboration. Consortium is the UK’s national umbrella body for lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans voluntary and community organisations helping to make this collaboration happen.
Set up in 1998, the organisation focusses on

• Bringing LGBT+ organisations of all sizes, themes and geographies together to share ideas, knowledge and expertise.
• Connecting LGBT+ organisations with a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure their voices are heard.
• Supporting LGBT+ organisations on a 1-2-1 basis to help them grow stronger and be more sustainable

We are both a registered charity and company limited by guarantee with a small but dedicated staff team and a Board of 8 Directors/Trustees.
