Who we are

The Community Foundations for Lancashire and Merseyside are collectively the North West region’s leading philanthropy centre, working with funders and philanthropists to grow stronger communities together.

Following significant sustainability work for the Community Foundations since 2008 we now exist in a new era of majority private funding, (moving from primarily public sector contracts), a developing philanthropic client offer and a growing community leadership role which our Vital Signs work since 2013 and current Lancashire Flood Appeal work demonstrates. Our joint endowment fund stands at £12 million and we distribute up to £2 million a year in funding to community projects on behalf of 50 philanthropists and funders.
