Community Connnexions

Who we are

Community Connexions is a charity established 34 years ago working to provide support to people affected by rural and social isolation. We work across the county of Gloucestershire.  We provide volunteering opportunities for drivers and office support. Our core volunteer provided service is a door to door car service. Mainly a car service, but also buses where none are available commercially. These operate door to door rather than bus stops which isn’t practical for lots of people, especially the elderly and disabled in rural settings. The service enables people to experience increased wellbeing, mitigating many of the impacts of isolation, physical, mental and financial on those who cannot access standard bus and taxi transport.
