Who Are We?

Clowns Without Borders UK recognises laughter and play as a stabilising force for children living through humanitarian disaster. For young people living through the aftermath of conflict or natural disaster, opportunities for joy and play are diminished. Through our dynamic clown performances and playful, child-centred workshops, we provide emotional comfort and respite to children when they need it the most.

Our goal isn’t just to provide one-off performances. We want to make sure children can continue to play long after we have left.Our Train-the-Trainer programmes focus on long-term impact and joyful ways of working with children.We support staff working in Humanitarian context to adapt their programmes to support learning and behaviour change through laughter and play. 

Leading by example, we believe our approach has the potential to transform the way the humanitarian system serves children affected by crisis.
