About us
Who we are
Climb – the leading patient organisation for Inherited Metabolic Disorders - are recruiting some key roles to join our expanding team as we relocate to Chester Business Park.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the charity at a time of growth, with new projects and services that will further our mission to make a real difference to the lives of patients living with rare conditions and their families.
About Climb
Climb has been the leading umbrella patient organisation encompassing all Inherited Metabolic Disorders (IMDs) for 36 years. The aim of the charity remains as true today as in 1981; to improve the lives of those living with these rare conditions and their families. There are 445 IMDs, affecting approximately 20,000 patients in the UK, and 3.5 million worldwide. Climb provides a number of services, including:
- Family advice service providing bespoke support and information
- Connecting families with others to help reduce the isolation of living with a rare condition
- Conferences, workshops and patient days
- Raising awareness of IMDs to health, medical, social care and teaching professionals, as well as the general public
- Advocacy on behalf of patients and working to improve early diagnosis and access to effective medicines
We are currently based in Crewe but relocating to Chester Business Park at the end of January 2018.
