Who we are
CLEAR seeks to improve the quality of life of refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants by providing free advice and supporting people to access local services. We believe in empowerment through education and in practical action to support the settled and developing refugee communities. CLEAR has an established reputation within the city as an organisation working to support the human rights of its clients and to alleviate need and hardship. CLEAR offers the following services: Advice and Guidance service open three days each week, with a drop-in service available to our clients; we receive over 3000 visits in a year. - ESOL classes specialising in pre-entry level courses targeted at learners with very low literacy. - ESOL classes with crèche targeted at pre-entry level learners, who could not access learning without childcare provision. - Adult learning opportunities focusing on skills to empower and improve integration into society. - Mentoring to support individuals achieve successful migratory life transitions. - Work Club and Employment Advice service that provides clients with a range of support services to assist them in their job searching and with in work support. -Volunteer opportunities for all communities.
