About us

Who we are

Class 13 is not your average charity. Since our inception in 2020, we've embarked on a mission far greater than our size suggests. Our focus is our namesake, Article 13 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child: that children have the right to freedom of expression. As a result, we've emerged as a trusted beacon of support and knowledge for educators across the UK, equipping them with strategies to combat inequity in the classroom and within educational systems themselves.

We provide comprehensive support and services to educators in London, equipping them with the tools to enhance their relationships with students and families. Through our action-based framework, we help teachers transform their practices to promote equity and inclusion, creating environments where every young person can thrive.

Our culture and values

At Class 13, our culture is rooted in four core principles: affirming humanity, nurturing critical thinking, cultivating community, and fostering democracy. We are persistently disruptive in our approach, constantly seeking ways to challenge and improve educational practices. Our values guide everything we do, from our training programs to our daily interactions, ensuring that we always prioritise the holistic development and well-being of both educators and students.

Equality, diversity and inclusion policy

Class 13 is committed to creating a workplace that is fair, inclusive, and free from discrimination. We believe that diversity enriches our community and enhances our ability to serve educators and students effectively. Our policies and practices are designed to ensure that everyone, regardless of their background, feels valued and supported. We actively oppose all forms of discrimination and work tirelessly to create an environment where equity and justice are at the forefront of our mission.
