About us
Who we are
Cerebral Palsy Cymru is a national centre of excellence for families in Wales with children who have cerebral palsy. Our specialist team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists work together to offer transdisciplinary skills, so each child, benefits from their combined expertise. Our family support service offers a listening ear, advice and support. We share our knowledge and skills through collaborative working, courses, national and international conferences.
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for all children in Wales living with cerebral palsy.
We have four teams in the centre - Therapy, Fundraising, Retail and Operations. Everyone knows everyone else in our friendly offices, and team-working is a vital part of our organisational culture. We pride ourselves on being a family-centred organisation, with a colourful environment and friendly staff from the moment families come in through our doors.
Our clinical team work tirelessly to improve life for the children they treat and we are in the forefront of clinical practice in our field, with staff members presenting aspects of their work at international conferences on a regular basis. We are highly regarded and provide a specialist, expert service. Everyone who works at Cerebral Palsy Cymru is united in their passion for the cause, whether that means taking time to chat to a family or baking cupcakes to raise funds!
Our values
Our key values are:
To ensure families are at the heart of our organisation
To work in partnership with families and community teams
To deliver the highest quality in everything we do
To work with the highest levels of integrity
It’s an exciting time to join our team. After rebranding during 2020 and moving into our new Therapy Centre in Llanishen in 2021, in 2022 Cerebral Palsy Cymru are celebrating 30 years of our charity. We are now looking to expand our team so we can offer support and therapy to more babies and children in Wales and their families.
