About us
Who we are
Founded in 1989 with a single member of staff, the Carers' Support Service now supports over 5000 Carers with a team of 25 staff and over 70 volunteers across North and North East Lincolnshire.
Unpaid Carers look after family members, friends and/or neighbours who can not manage without their support because they are ill, frail, disabled, have a mental health condition or substance misuse problem.
The support we provide enables Carers to care safely, manage and maintain their caring role, their health and wellbeing and have a life outside of their caring role and beyond their caring role.
The support we provide Carers is free.
We also play a key strategic role in decisions that are made locally about Carers, and we play a pivotal part in raising awareness of Carers and establishing Northern Lincolnshire as a Carer friendly place to live.
