About us

Who we are

CPRE is a section of public opinion which presents an organised and informed view on landscape and associated countryside land-use issues. CPRE Herefordshire was founded in 1933 and is run by volunteers who are dedicated to protecting this most rural of English counties from inappropriate development. While it is affiliated to CPRE national office, in common with all county branches it is run as a separate charity. The countryside is under unprecedented threat from over development. CPRE is a strong and effective voice for its future.
