About us
Who we are
Cambridge Community Arts empowers people creatively. Our vision is of healthier communities empowered by their own creativity. Our mission is to support personal growth and improved health through quality creative arts activities. Our values are to be welcoming, empathetic, inclusive, respectful, and empowering.
Cambridge Community Arts has been running creative arts courses in the community for almost 10 years and became a registered charity in 2020. We have supported over 2000 adults at risk of social exclusion, primarily due to mental ill health to develop their creative skills and have assisted many into volunteering and work. We offer year-long and 8-week courses in a wide range of artforms including visual, performing, and digital arts and writing. Our outcomes include improved mental health and wellbeing, reduced social isolation, and increased creative and transferable life skills. We also run the Creative Fenland project and support a community of past-Learners to continue building their skills and creative journey.
