About us

Who we are

The Camberwell After School Project (CASP) was founded in 1985 as a charity and a company limited by guarantee. Our objectives are to advance the development and education of children, young people, and adults by:

  1. Offering appropriate play, education, care, family learning and out-of-school-hours services for children; and,
  2. Providing appropriate training and learning opportunities to improve the employability, well-being and personal development of young people and adults.

CASP  core mission is to provide good quality and affordable out of school childcare for local parents, particularly lone parents.

Our mission over the next five years is to deliver a coherent range of services which meet the needs of local parents within Southwark, particularly lone parents, who wish to work and study full-time, or actively seeking full-time work. Essentially enabling parents to access the job market by providing their children with a safe environment while they are at work, simultaneously striving to advance the education of the children in our care by placing an emphasis on progressive learning.
