Burma Education Partnership is a specialist British educational charity with a long-standing experience of teacher training in refugee camps along the Thai/Burma border. Our training model focuses on the use of mobile units of trainers who develop trainer-to-teacher classroom partnerships. Trainers work alongside teachers, demonstrating techniques and preparing lessons - this method allows local teachers to grow in confidence and skill. In doing so, we hope to improve standards of teaching and learning for refugee and migrant children and contribute to the development of a well trained workforce of teacher-trainers who will continue to provide an improved quality of education following their return to Burma.
