About us
Who we are
The British Neuroscience Association (BNA) is a charity with a mission to connect, represent and promote neuroscience and neuroscientists across the globe. We are a vibrant and progressive community that spans a broad spectrum of neuroscience sectors and disciplines, with over 2,750 members from 45 countries. The BNA is the largest UK organisation representing all areas of brain research.
It’s an exciting time for the BNA. Building on successes to date, we are looking to grow our influence and deepen our relationships with key sectors, including industry, clinicians, research charities, the public and policy makers. At the same time, we will consolidate our efforts to create opportunities for our members to develop their networks, their research and their careers. To deliver this bold vision, the team is expanding under new leadership, with new strategic initiatives in development.
The BNA Executive Team work closely with trustees, committees and working groups and are responsible for the management and delivery of a diverse range of activities that benefit members and wider society.
We are a small, remote team that spans the breadth of the UK. We are an inclusive and collaborative community, passionate about equality and diversity, and offer flexible working conditions with a number of benefits. By joining the BNA, you will be working with us to create an exciting and sustainable future for neuroscience.
