Who we are
Bridges Outcomes Partnerships is a not-for-profit social enterprise. We work with Government, community groups and specialist partners to help radically change human services and environmental initiatives in order to improve outcomes for people & the planet, and value for taxpayers.
Unlike many Government-commissioned services, our projects are not delivered according to a set specification. Instead, the commissioner commits to paying for the achievement of agreed delivery milestones linked to measurable improvements in people's lives.
By switching the focus to what these projects achieve rather than how they're delivered, 'social outcomes contracts' move away from a top-down, 'one-size-fits-all' approach to enable a very different one. One that allows us to incorporate three important elements into delivering essential services: collaborative design; flexible delivery; and clear accountability.These elements create much more scope for a range of stakeholders to collaborate on service design and delivery. They give front-line teams much more flexibility to adapt and personalise the service they deliver. And they ensure that everyone involved has very clear accountability for delivering effective services that demonstrably improve lives.
RESULTS TO DATE
Bridges' team has supported over 70 Outcomes Partnerships to date, creating - in the UK - over £129m worth of outcomes for over 48,000 people and £1.2bn of public value.
