About us
Who we are
Bread Youth Project works with young people in Lawrence Weston, to support improving their health, citizenship, social and personal development.
Currently BREAD delivers Juicy Blitz Youth Involvement Project - a young people’s health and participation project based in Ridingleaze, Lawrence Weston, Bristol.
Originally designed by young people in 2002 as part of Bristol’s Youth Owing Urban Regeneration initiative, Juicy Blitz – a young person’s Juice and Smoothie Bar provides a safe space for local young people to meet and participate in positive activities and programs of personal and social development.
Specifically, our aim is to work with young people so they can:
- Increase their level of self-confidence and aspirations for the future.
- Become more active citizens and work with others to tackle issues in their community.
- Increase their likelihood of successfully engaging in learning, training and employment by providing life/key skills training.
- Make healthier lifestyle choices and increase their personal wellbeing.
