Who we are
BHCAC was formed in 1997 to serve the most disadvantaged people from West Balkans (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia) living in London. Today, the organisation supports over 1200 most vulnerable and disadvantaged people annually from all communities by providing a wide range of services and activities focused on improving their lives and helping them escape poverty.
Main services/ activities:
- Person-centred service including help with the costs of living; food and fuel vouchers.
- Information, Advice and Advocacy including Casework service on welfare benefits, housing, health and community care issues- helping people secure their rights, entitlements and improve living conditions.
- Benefits Trainings: to understand the benefits system, focusing on prevention, raising awareness, and developing solutions.
- Digital courses to address digital exclusion and develop life skills.
