About us
Who we are
The Big Give is the UK’s number one match funding platform. We are a non-profit organisation which has a huge impact and big ambition for the future. We are responsible for the UK’s biggest online match funding campaign, the Christmas Challenge, which raised over £33m last year. Since being founded by Sir Alec Reed CBE in 2007, the Big Give has helped to raise £290 million for thousands of UK-registered charities.
Our culture and values
We are generous
We believe in giving. It feels good and achieves more. At the heart of our charity is the idea of a ‘Generosity Multiplier’. We want to multiply the goodwill of thousands of people, funders and charities to make double the difference.
We are purposeful
Everything we do is driven by our commitment to create meaningful impact. We’re proud to be the UK’s leading match funding charity, helping to double the difference and support our partners to make a positive change in the world.
We are trustworthy
Our established systems, connections, and expertise make all our work possible. We want to go above and beyond to ensure we’re doing everything possible to make giving easy for everyone and make your donation have double the impact.
We are together
Our desire to connect charities, champions, and the public inspires our activities. We know that great things can happen when we all come together. We bring together a community of generosity from larger donors to small, so no matter the need or where in the world, we’re united to create a better and more sustainable future for us all.
