About us
Who we are
Beechwood offers free psychological and holistic support for those affected by cancer or for cancer related grief and bereavement. The Charity’s services are dedicated to those with cancer diagnoses, their families and carers, and those bereaved by cancer. We offer support services to both adults, children/young people, and families alike.
Clients can self-refer or be referred into the Charity by healthcare or educational professionals, and this can be at any point from diagnosis, during treatment or post treatment. Likewise, carers and the bereaved can also refer into Beechwood at any point.
The Charity offers a package of support, tailored to each client, with the foundation of this being rooted in psychological and counselling services. To complement the core offer, we also provide a range of support groups and workshops, together with a host of holistic treatments and wellbeing therapies.
Beechwood’s services are free at the point of need, which is enabled by a range of fundraising events and activities, in addition to donations and funds raised by the Charity and its supporters.
In summary, Beechwood Cancer Care provides much-needed support to the person diagnosed and to their family network at a time when many aspects of their life are disrupted by illness. The services offered ensure that in addition to the medical interventions and treatment being undertaken, clients are able to work through other aspects of their circumstances in safety and confidence.
