Who we are
BLS is a small charity based in Westminster delivering unique and engaging learning experiences for children and young people onboard our purpose-built barge, known as the Floating Classroom.
Founded in 1938, our mission today is to help people from a diverse range of backgrounds achieve their full potential by providing transformational learning experiences that broaden horizons and build confidence.
To help fund our charitable efforts, we also market the barge as a floating events venue offering catered canal cruises between Paddington and Kings Cross. The Electric Barge is the perfect unique venue for private parties, meetings, team workshops and corporate socials.
