Who we are
Barking and Dagenham School Improvement Partnership (BDSIP) is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee which is 81% owned by local schools and 19% by the council. It has revenue of c.£2.5m and 56 of the 59 schools in the borough own a stake in the company. Having spun out from the council, BDSIP is a relatively new organisation which, in addition to having the remit to develop a schools-led improvement system locally, provides a broad range of professional services to schools, including: school improvement support, inclusion and SEND support, work experience, careers, attendance, IT services, and a broad range of professional development for school staff. The organisation has an established customer base and is enjoying a period of rapid change and development as it creates the culture and ways of working needed for the future. At the heart of this is a flexible, customer-focused approach which underpins growth in the breadth and clarity of their service offer.
