Who we are
Balloon’s mission … is to create a world where potential is realised through building sustainable local businesses.
We are a delivery partner for the ICS initiative (an ~£80m DFID funded project) and work with corporates including Citi and Bain & Co to deliver consulting support to micro-enterprises. Alongside this, we provide ‘growth focused finance’ (low interest, unsecured, flexible loans) and multi-stage support to provide entrepreneurs the best chance of success. We are also launching the world’s first micro venture capital fund.
Currently we work in 10 locations across Kenya, Uganda, Ghana and the Philippines. Since starting in 2012, we have invested £200,000+ in over 1,100 entrepreneurs.
