About Applecart Arts

Applecart is an arts charity based in East Ham, Newham.  We provide space, mentorship, and platforms for emerging visual and performing arts practitioners from diverse backgrounds, promoting professional pathways into the creative industries.

Applecart runs a community arts centre in an area where there is no real provision for the performing arts at a grass roots level. Our venue provides professional theatre, rehearsal, exhibition, and studio spaces, as well as a community café/bar.   Our organisation also encourages local residents to explore and develop their own creative lives, working with schools and community organisations to develop bespoke projects which inspire confidence and well-being through creative engagement.

This is an exciting time for the charity.  We have reached a turning point where we need to increase our capacity in order to capitalise on new income streams whilst developing the skills of emerging technicians and creatives.
