Who we are
Amberley Museum is a special place set in the heart of the South Downs which showcases the industrial, rural, craft, transport and communications history of the south. There are over 40 different exhibit areas staffed by our team of friendly and knowledgable volunteers. The Museum is open to visitors of all ages and interests, bringing people together to understand, explore and see first-hand the working past. The Museum delivers regular school and community workshops, and also runs a wide range of events, from classic car days to Steam punk events, Christmas weekends to craft shows.
The site is run by a small friendly team of staff, supported by a board of trustees and a large number of volunteers, all with the same aim to enable visitors and volunteers alike to enjoy this unique working museum.
